'T.E.E PRODUCTIONS' LOGO

Below are the initial designs for our productions logo 'T.E.E Productions'.
T.E.E are the first initials of our names, T-Tasnim, E-Edith, E-Ernie. During one of our meetings, we decided that we would play with the word 'TEE' and apply the concept of a cup of tea, not only because it is a strong British icon but also because it will attract our audience as it includes an element of humour.

The sketches below were done by Ernie over Christmas and do not yet include colour as we have not yet decided on a colour scheme.

Once we have chosen the design that we want to use Ernie will edit it on Photoshop using real images and applying the font type that we decide on.

1.
This is the original idea that Ernie thought of once we told him what we wanted in the logo. It contains the tea idea while also clearly presenting the company name and because of it's simplicity it is a very effective logo.
However it lacks originality and it may be difficult to improve and would need a lot of work in order for it to have a professional finished look.

2.
The composition of this idea was very much influenced by the first idea. We continued with our idea of tea and by including a teenager in the logo we felt that it may be more attractive to our target audience.
A way of improving this idea would be to have various types of people holding the cup of tea, not unlike the 'Dreamworks logo' as they had a logo with a daytime atmosphere and a nightime atmosphere.

3.
This idea is perhaps the most ovbious one given our brief and it's simplicity is definitly it's selling point. The clear, to-the-point approach that Ernie has adopted really works and improving it would be relatively easy as it is a high standard already.
However, the downside of this particular idea is that it seems to be targeting an older population rather than our prefferred target audience.

4.
This is the revised version of the previous design because although the concept works, we decided that it would be more striking if we enlarged the text to have it expanding outside of the cup. It was inspired by the Universal logo.
If this idea were to be developed further, we would use warm colours to create a homely effect which not only would encourage the audience to relax and get comfortable but is probably much more attractive to our target population.

5.
While the other designs are based around the image of the cup of tea so for this idea we decided to venture out and spread to much more media based ideas.
The stereotypical 'old school' style of the camera mixed with the tea cup handle provides an image that is unique yet easily relatable to the audience. We then chose to use the font and position of the text from the first idea as this was our favourite.
With all of these elements combined together we have managed to create an original, humorous yet eye catching logo that also manages to attract our target market.

Idea 5 is our personal favourite however we would like to find out what our audience think as it is them that we are trying to target. So to do this we shall set up a SurveyMonkey so that people can choose their favourites while at the same time we shall email a seperate group of people to give us more elaborate feedback on each design. There shall be a followup post detailing our findings.
